Species: Senegal Bichir (Polypterus senegalus)
Size: 6" and growing

When I first bought Eligos, he could fit comfortably in a 5 gallon tank and was probably 3" long at most. His first tankmate was a female betta... who he could now easily eat. I originally bought Aristotle as a tankmate for him, and for a while they, along with Marie Antoinette, lived in my 29 gallon tank together. At some point he had a brush with death when he presumably ran into a rock and cut his face badly. He got an infection, and though he has now fully healed, his left eye is a little...wonky. Now Marie and Aristotle have moved on to bigger and better things, and Eligos shares the 29 gallon with Euchrid and Reginald. The angelfish will join them as soon as they are bigger than Eligos's mouth.
